Joplin Emancipation Celebration 2026 Vendor Registration

Come and celebrate Emancipation in America during our Emancipation Celebration on Friday, July 31-Sunday August 2nd, 2026! This event will give local businesses and organizations the opportunity to engage a diverse population and communicate with those who seek their services.

The Emancipation Celebration has been hosted in Joplin since around 1914 to promote African-American achievement, cultural diversity, and to ensure the historical significance of Emancipation in America is not forgotten.

This event will be held rain or shine at Landreth Park in Joplin, MO. Booth spaces are available at a rate of $40 for both event dates. Booth fees are waived for nonprofits and sponsors. Participating businesses and organizations are also encouraged to incorporate a family fun activity or give away at their booth.

To reserve your spot at the Emancipation Celebration, please complete the form below. Payment of booth fees can be made by credit card or by cashier’s check made payable to “Emancipation Celebration Committee” and submitted to: Emancipation Celebration Committee PO Box 1102 Joplin, MO 64802

Vendors will have the opportunity to sell merchandise and food.

My business/organization will sell merchandise (copy of license required, Contact City of Joplin at 417-624-0820 ext. 242).

My business/organization will sell food (inspection and health department requirements apply. Contact the City of Joplin Health Department at 417-623-6122.)

I will not be selling merchandise or food.

SETUP NEEDS:
Emancipation Celebration 2026 will take place outdoors. Vendors will need to supply tables, chairs, canopy tents, etc. Tents or canopies are MANDATORY per Health Department for food vendors. It is highly recommended that all vendors bring a tent/canopy to protect their booth from the elements.
